The complete Info Sheet for this event can be found here. Important information is also located below.

Note: Athletes in the Adirondack Junior Olympic 15-18 division will compete with the Open and Masters athletes during the morning session.

This meet is open to Open and Master athletes. 2022 USATF Adirondack membership is required to compete.

Empire State Classic Advancement:
This meet will also serve as the regional qualifier for the 2nd Annual Empire State Classic to be held Sunday, July 31, 2022. The Empire State Classic will be a scoring meet between the four USATF Associations of New York State.
The Adirondack Association will enter 3 qualifiers of each gender per event. Athletes age 15+ are eligible if they meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • Anyone registered in an event as an Open Athlete
  • Masters athlete that registers and competes as an Open athlete.
  • 15-18 year old Youth athletes registered as Youth Athletes (note exception below for Shot, Discus and 110m hurdles)
Note that Youth 15-18 athletes attempting to qualify for both the Empire State Classic and the Region 1 Championships should register as a Youth athlete, not an Open athlete….unless they are boys competing in the Shot Put, Discus or 110m hurdles.
  • Specifically for shot put, discus throw and 110m hurdles, youth 15-18 male athletes that wish to compete for ESC qualification must register and compete as Open athletes using Open standards (e.g. 42” hurdles, Open implement weights).
    • Youth (15-18) male athletes have the option of registering for these events as both a Youth and/or and Open athlete. Athletes competing for ESC and Region 1 Championships in any of these 3 events should register for both the Open and Youth events, which are listed separately in the meet registration.
If a qualifying athlete elects not to participate in the Empire State Classic that spot will be offered to the #4, #5, etc. athlete until the spot is filled.
