USATF Adirondack Association serves as the local branch of USATF to promote the development of the sport of athletics, which includes the disciplines of track & field, distance running and race walking, coordinate the scheduling of competitions, communicate policy to athletes, sanction events, provide for participation of amateur athletes in amateur athletic competition, support women, disabled, and masters in athletics, certify officials, and to encourage open competition. USATF Adirondack serves the northeastern portion of the state of New York including, Albany, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Delaware, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, St. Lawrence, Ulster, Warren and Washington counties.
